NAPOWRIMO: Day 7 -late

Simply, I wrote this today after seeing some magpies and walking in the sunshine, but it took and awful long time to write and no structure to speak of.

In the sun I day dream of

Photosynthesising, greening with chlorophyll,

about this year’s new sunglasses:

fifties cat’s eyes to Marilyn about in gingham

and that the smog is salted coastal air

Two magpies followed me home

after the terraces shadowed out the sunshine

good omens right to my door

I had forgotten the rhyme

And wished one away
