Stirred October

Stirred October has come and gone like the leaves, here’s the writing exercise and the winning results!

Create a simile/metaphor based poem of five lines.

Example, Henri: ‘Love is walking holding paintstained hands’

Or Clarke: ‘like a night club in the morning, you’re the bitter end’

Possible topics: the moon, a celebrity, chocolate, alcohol, politics.

Winner number 1:

Like autumn leaves, I go out of my way to crush you underfoot

Crrrrrrunch.

How delicious it feels to destroy.

Tiny amber shatters.

Your heart in tatters.

Winner of the spoons:

A metaphor
