What did you get?

The writing task this Stirred was a present orientated one. Here are the results of asking, What would you like to give Stirred for it’s Unbirthday? The answers varied from birthday bumps, a singing ringing tree, a hug, unmusical chairs, a new bicycle, the two winners offered a snow ball and a kiss!

Charmain’s poem:

A belated kiss to stir the lovers

to frost the air

and a tingle warmth down his throat

to move away unwanted presents.

And then Shauna’s offering:

A snowball in the face.

Thanks also to the rhyming entry for Stirred, which involved a lager cake, birthday tea and punchbowls!

The next Stirred is coming up on the 5th March, and we are theming it around music. So you might read a poem that’s been inspired by a song, that incorporates lyrics or has a musicality to it. I’m not quite sure of the word musicality,  google defines it as the quality or state of being musical, a ballet forum discusses it as getting into the skin of the music…..in our case word-music!

Magma’s next issue is on the topic Music: The Universal Language, here’s their article on their thoughts on art symbiosis: http://magmapoetry.com/call-for-submissions-magma-53-music-the-universal-language/

The Stirred quad is formed of Rebecca Audra Smith, Anna Percy, Jasmine Chatfield and Lenni Sanders.
