Day 12: Little Match Sticks

Charmain Leung’s NaPoWriMo Poem 2

Inspired by the natural element of fire and man’s instinctive fear to investigate and capture nature. Second poem of this NaPoWriMo to do with fire!

Little Match Sticks

Pile themselves on top;
a jenga mess we played,
each slide of stick caught
a flick and sparked a near miss.

Red and orange heads jostled
for oxygen, rubbing their browning shoulders
before they all hit.
