Stirred Themes….

If you were thinking of submitting to Stirred’s e-book, (rules here) then you might want to submit a piece based on or responding to one of Stirred’s themes:

International Women’s Day

There are also the writing tasks we’ve set while we’ve been running Stirred as part of the event. People have written travel tankas, memories of their first film, pieces based on fondling food, Tracey Emin inspired haikus, pieces that are lyric borrowing from Kate Bush. If you’ve come to Stirred and done a response poem, you can always take it back off the blog, re-write it and submit it to the anthology! There have been some excellent quick written pieces at Stirred that with a polish would be great entries. Entries need to be within a page of length, and can be sent to

We’ve had some really high quality entries already, a piece inspired by Angela Carter, pieces exploring transformation, clothes, and more! Looking forward to seeing your poems.

Deadline: October 1st.

The Stirred quad is formed of Rebecca Audra Smith, Anna Percy, Jasmine Chatfield and Lenni Sanders.
