Poem From Yesterday’s Workshop

So here is a poem I got out of yesterday’s workshop. We used my workshop favourite getting the group to generate words and phrases randomise them and use them in a piece of writing, in this case in a sonnet form (well broken sonnet it has fourteen lines). Watch out for the words of Sting I cut the line up to make it work.

God don’t you ever knock on the clouds?

every little thing among the lillies

she does this in her dreams

fights lillies coffin connotations

is it magic if you question everything?

what’s a song if you can;t fuck to it

rhythm in the chest and pelvis

flower waving signals

charming the shadows

her mind garden is lush

she dances barefoot

foxtrotting dandelions second fluff

sowing seconds with her steps

she wants to get through to the heart of it
