Last post about Stirred’s relaunch focused on the on-the-spot writing task and the results of writing in response to a superheroine prompt. Who won the spoon, who came runner up, etc. But there was much else to mention about the relaunch. Our first time at 3MT they were really supportive, really happy with the stage space, the venue. There was a stand to put the poetry on and a small light attached, perfect for poetry needs. Big thanks to Gina Frost and co for all the support.

Going to give a shout out, or write out, to the open micers who were really great:
Sarah Pepin, Charmain Leung, Andrew Lawson, Sarah O’ Neill, Ren Coulson, Script and Verse, Karen Little, Sarah Miller, Zach Roddis and Sarah Pritchard.
Our special guests were fabulous, Sarah Crewe, Judy Kendall and Ben Williems. Judy Kendall is poet in residence at Todmorden which is really ace, and brought along a cabbage in which was written a poem to prove it:
Would like to draw attention to the Poets and Players event at the Whitworth this Saturday where Marilyn Hacker is reading, one of my original inspirations. It looks like a great event so do go, I can’t I’m working.
