Stirred: Bodies

This is a feminist collective.

It is 2015 and we are back, five years of feminism since Stirred began in 2010…Stirred Bodies will be at The Three Minute Theatre, on Monday 23rd February at 7.30pm. You can find directions here and the special guests’ bio’s here.

Stirred Poetry is a feminist, pro-people poetry event that has been supporting women and everyone for five years. On the spot poetry tasks, special guests and ridiculousness abound.

We are also channelling five years of experiences at this point of running a self declared feminist performance space, including the aggressive reactions and the narrow vision of what this can mean. We are more ready than ever to confront this and this theme of bodies is the beginning of us reclaiming our own ground.

As a commenter said, we are not brains in jars; our lived experience of having a body effects us deeply.

We have a theme of bodies for Stirred this February.
