Stirred: Angel without you

Stirred: Tracey Emin was a beautiful night of feminism and Emin inspired work. Really great to hear women speaking of their experiences and we had some incredibly strong voices which it was an honour to have on the stage. At the workshop we wrote Tracey Emin inspired pieces, one of the tasks was to use phrases from her neon signs in our work, Anna’s poem opens:

i fell in love here

Madie Howard guested and did an amazing slot! Extract below.

The collective of Spoken Weirdos were also beautiful and actually were a mini-event within the event, hosted by Geneviève L. Walsh:

We are still uploading, but the full play list of the night will be up here:

We had a beautiful mini-chapbook on the night as well, which was full of poems from our workshop, some of which you can see online, Geneviève L. Walsh’s Bombardment here, and Sarah Pritchard’s Bed Shed here.

Our next events are themed on F**ked Up Fairy Tales, we’ve been meaning to have a performance night on this theme for agesss, and now it’s finally time to go back to Disney and rewrite those traditional narratives. See you there on Monday 25th May!

The Stirred quad is formed of Rebecca Audra Smith, Anna Percy, Jasmine Chatfield and Lenni Sanders.
