Emma Wootton has recently completed an MA in Poetic Practice at Royal Holloway University. Despite having read at many events in and around London, she has only just edged her way into the poetry scene Manchester has to offer. Unable to survive a day without coffee, her poetry is often fuelled by caffeine and emotions simultaneously. Select poems have been published in print and online magazines, although the highlight of her literary career thus far was organising a reading in London with Eileen Myles – one of the most incredible contemporary queer feminist writers today. Much of her work focusses on queer, feminist politics and principles, and her poetry is extremely influenced by an eclectic array of writers.
